| Cartouche? What is that? According to www.dictionary.com, "an oval or oblong figure, as on ancient Egyptian monuments, enclosing characters that represent the name of a sovereign". So it is much like the Chinese Chop, or a seal of state in the west. These Cartouche are uniquely crafted of 18k White and Yellow GOLD by hand in Egypt by a skilled artisan. Most of these Cartouche allow you to customize them with your name or a loved one's name in one of three languages: English, Arabic (beautifully flowing lettering), or Hieroglyphics, the ancient picture language of the powerful Egyptian Royal elite such as King Tut. The GOLD used is 18k making it 75% pure compared to 14k which is only 58%. Cartouche make a lovely gift for yourself or some one special. Some of the Cartouche allow for two names so both the names of a loving couple can be together on the same Cartouche, joined on the Cartouche as they are in love and life. |
